How many points and what for ?.

Hi all.
Upon driving back from my parents last night who live in bournemouth on my way home to swindon.
I got nabbed by a police officer with a speed gun doing 53 mph in a 30 mph in salsbury,Near the park and ride and petrol station.[2100 dry/clear/well maintained car] and awarded me with 3 points and a £60 fine to go with my previous 3 points for doing 103mph on a nsl road at 2330 in dry/clear etc conditions 18 months earler.
So i have the total now of 6 points from the sp30's.
Insurance has jumped £100 a year too.
What is on your licences ?.

Got 3 for speeding 88 in a 70 in 2007 in my R32, that should be off soon,
Another 3 for being in lane 3 overtaking MLMs with a trailer, hugely hugely irritating as I had followed the same clown for 7 miles at 65mph and passed him before I lost the will to live. Unfortunately plod was in an unmarked car a bit further behind
That's 6 in total, at one point I had 11 and held onto my licence by the skin of my teeth

Motorbike crash when I was 18. Here's the situation... I'm driving along the main road, I see a car pull out infront of me, slam on my brakes and horn but can't stop move around and smash into the drivers door and stop dead. It was wet, do I didn't slow down a lot before I hit it. I was doing 30 in a 30. A part of me (shoulder and arm I think) went through the drivers window an caught the driver. My head hit the side of the roof. Now that seem pretty clear, his fault right?
The driver claimed I had passed through a red light on a pedestrain crossing 15 yards from the junction he pulled out of. There was a witness who said that I did too. I really don't think I did, as in I don't even remember seeing it. Maybe I was more focused on a car pulling out and hadn't seen the red light? Possible I suppose. Anyway I pleaded guilty in the end as I was a student at the time and had neither the money or time to fight the case. It also happened that the man I hit, was in the car with his brother both of whom were professional footballers (the brother being far more so) and I was under the impression that they would be able to make a much better case than I could.
I do believe however, that even if the light was red it wasn't controlling the junction he pulled out of and so it was still his fault? He repeated 3 times in his statment that he looked and didn't see me, how did he see the red light then? I regret to this day not pleading not guilty TBH, but I really am not sure what the outcome would have been. Had I have lost I may have got more than 4
points, and a bigger fine.
So, thats me. They're off my licence techinacally now but I still have to declare to the insurance company for another year.

Blimey. You could have got a summons, 6 points, and even a ban for either of those. Are you a very attractive young lady? (No points on my licence at present)

First points on my licence a month or so ago, 54 in a 40, 1947 on a Sunday.
3 pts/£60.
3 points (SP30) in 2005 for 85mph on the A449.
... & then a week before their 4th birthday...
3 points (SP50) in 2009 for 84mph on A56.
Never been happy with the second lot. 12.50am Wednesday morning on empty dual carriageway, lone plod following closer than he should've been, stopped 0.3 miles from home after a 160 mile trip!
Sat in plod car, first video footage wasn't actually me, second one was me, his speed ranging from 84mph to 124mph (he'd been stationary on a sliproad & sat at a steady 84mph once he'd settled behind me at a constant distance). He offered me 3 point & £60 fine there & then, or said I could contest it, for which he'd mark my speed as "between 85mph & 92mph". I've no idea where these came from. I'm no expert but have it in my head that 92mph+ in a 70 zone is the cutoff between 3 point & 4-6 point & as he had me on video exceeding 70mph anyway then there didn't seem much point arguing it. He then let me on my way after some very patronising words.
Also being a dual carriageway it should've been an SP30, not an SP50.
Still, at least it kept him entertained for a few minutes.
Edit: I'd for some reason devised a 30 point offence originally!

3 SP30, I can't remember what I was doing. 40 in a 30 maybe, I know I didn't see the sign for the limit change as I was lost and not paying proper attention.
I've also done a speed awareness course after getting flashed going from Manchester to Sheffield, but in my defence it was a nice road to have a blast on.

None, but I've had 2 close calls.
First one, I was caught 35 in a 30 by an unmarked van in Bangor. Did a speed awareness cause so evaded the points.
Second, I was waiting at a cross roads to turn tight. I was in the middle of the road, and a car came through on amber/red meaning I had to get round sharpish. I did set off sharpish, and kept it going to about 35 in a 30, when I saw the lights on a police 3-series light up a way behind me. I lifted off down to 30, and the police followed me for about half a mile before pulling me. I knew that he was waiting to see if he could catch me speeding but he didn't. I had to go and sit in his car whilst he checked my details, then he let me on my way. Had a mini lecture about it being bad for the environment (so?) and annoying for other road users (fair enough) to accelerate hard in 1st gear.
Next time I may not be so lucky!

Three points for 47 in a 40, on the A229... I've brought the road up on Streetview (link below), can someone explain to me why on earth is this a 40 limit? barriers on all sides, no pedestrian access... simply ridiculous.
