As long as there was a long line of sight and i had the space to waft past without blowing anyones hair off and not have to drag race past then yes. Otherwise, i would wait in line.
Personnaly, i wouldnt mind someone passing as long as they show some respect in doing so. If someone was weaving in and out of the funeral line ragging past at every small gap it would be well out of order!!

I would on a dual carriageway/motorway if they were in the left hand lane. Overtaking them in the other lane on a single carriageway is a no-no, though.
I second this.If I know the area well though, I'll possibly cut into a side street and take another way around...
I wouldn't overtake on any road other than a dual-carriageway, bit disrespectful in my opinion!
I will be doing my best to make sure I don't have a funeral procession, I don't want to ruin anyone else's day by being stuck behind my slow-moving corpse. By that token, if it's safe to do so, I'd overtake one. A few times I've overtaken then as they joined dual carriageways, never overtaken one on a single carriageway yet, but if I had the oppertunity to do so, I would overtake provided it was safe. No need to blow their funeral hats off with a second gear bombing run, but I don't see what is so disrepsectful about overtaking a procession.

I was 18, driving a 45 bhp, 950 Fiesta with three big mates in it. I know we're all short and skinny for PH but I'm one of the smaller ones at 6'1" and 14 stone. Unfortunately the person at the head of the procession (as the family had gone ahead in the funeral cars) had asked me to get ahead so I could show her where the crematorium was, as she (also 18 at the time) didn't know where she was going. With only one real opportunity to overtake, I put my foot down, maxed it in second up to 40 on the dual carriageway, and started to lead the procession.
It did get a few comments afterwards because people assumed I was boy racing.

Dunno, point was that she hadn't done so and was quite at risk of wandering off in the wrong direction with no one able to catch her and her mates, and get them to the crematorium.
It wouldn't have mattred though. The car carrying two of the pall bearers rear ended another car a couple of hundred yards behind and so the burial was delayed anyway.
