Car Suggestions - Sorry Boring Thread Alert!

Hi all, looking at a few options for Contract Hire.

Requirements - diesel, at least four seats, relatively affordable leasing costs.

Have narrowed it down to something like the following:

Audi TT - 4wd, good specification and affordable leasing. However is it a bit girly?

Audi A5 TDI - Looks nice, decent interior. However very big car, entry level a bit poverty spec and only FWD?

BMW 320d Coupe - RWD, affordable leasing, looks nice. However a bit common?

Volkswagen Scirroco - Affordable, looks nice, well built. Not many negatives?

Any other suggestions out there for similar types of vehicles?

Personally, the A5. But nothing wrong with the TT ... not too much anyway.

From the list I'd probably go for the Scirocco, how about something like an Alfa 159 2.4 JTDM, stunning looking car!

The Alfa does look good actually but would prefer a 2/3 door if possible. GT or Brera in diesel an option? Any other suggestions?

I must admit TT is probably top of the list at the moment. Girly though?

They do the Brera in diesel and the GT I think? Not driven either but AFAIK the 2.4 jtdm (or whatever it is ) is a very good unit.

I'd go for the 320d if you want a smooth and balanced drive. They're also exceedingly quiet and comfortable on long journeys. I drove the A5 last week, and it was ok. Audi have really moved on in the last five years with respect to steering feel, control weighting etc. RWD is essential for me though, and the 320d chassis is lovely, especially on the modest wheels and tyres they come with as standard.

Hi all, bumping this thread again.

The final contenders are as follows:

Audi TT TDI
BMW 320d Coupe
BMW 120d Coupe

Any opinions on these options? Feel the TT is probably about right, as the Black Edition has all the specification I could need as standard, is 4WD and good on fuel whilst being fairly quick.

They're relatively affordable on Contract Hire as the residuals are so strong on them. Yes I will be booking a test drive this week and will report my findings back. Will also take a look at BMW.
