A company based by my work base has seen some splendid Bristols in the last few weeks:

411 6.7 V8 - sounded like thunder biggrin

Has a nicer back end than later models...

Today, alongside a Brigand an orange Fighter appeared V10 550bhp biggrin

Oooooh, I'd love to come across one of those Fighters, or indeed any Bristol. Whatever happened to the supposed 270mph Fighter T?

Not sure about the face on the older bird, but the rear end ain't half nice wink

Of all the cars that people get excited about those are, to me, a mystery. Old-fashioned, over-priced and ugly. The company will never usually let magazines/TV test them which to my mind simply confirms they aren't any good for driving either.

Having said that, I know the owners love them and at the end of the day it's all a matter of personal taste.

They've delivered customer cars.

That Fighter was in an Evo magazine group test a couple of months back.

Here we go - 'Bristols are antiquated, ugly, flakey...'

I like them, and Fighters look great in the metal, very different to the usual, predictable supercars.

I could well be on my own here but I think they are very ugly cars and I simply cant understand why they cost as much as they do.

It simply cant even begin compare to a Ferrari 599 in the looks department.

Is it just the "rare" factor?

The interior is a nice place to be, particularly the aircraft switchgear.

I see the marketing's still working... Trouble is most Bristol cars are still made to the standard aircraft were when Bristol still made planes...

Realistically, lots of kit car builders would be disappointed with the trim finish in a Fighter if they did it at home...
