I've never bought one.

Having read the I stopped buying Top Gear magazine thread, I wondered if it's just me who doesn't buy motoring magazines on a regular basis or, as in my case, at all.

Should I hand in my PH membership?

You should buy one of the quality ones like Car, Evo, Octane, Motorsport etc. If you can't find something to interest you, you need to have a reality check whether you really are interested in cars or not.

It's not that they don't interest me. Whenever I'm down at the local library, I enjoy reading the latest motoring mag on offer.

But I just can't bring myself to spend my own money to read a magazine which is usually more than half filled with adverts.
Or I get my motoring fix from various motoring websites.

It's only the physical magazines I'm referring to.

I used to buy the (seemed to be) little known 'USEDCARBUYER' magazine every month a few years back. It was a lottery as to who stocked it though and I just got blank looks off some newsagents when I enquired about it.

Seems to have gone out of print altogether now, I can't find it anywhere. frown

Shame because it always featured interesting articles on truely affordable stuff The cars that appeal to the average man on the street. I've got no desire to read about cars I'll never ever own i.e Veyrons and the like....

The only magazine I buy on a regular basis is Autocar, not every week but maybe a couple of times a month. Occasionally get a Classic Car if they run an article on something interesting.

No, but I have a wife who has a tight reign on the purse strings. If she signed off MPs' expensese, we'd never have had conversations about duckhouses. smile

Yes, I suppose I could grow a pair but I quite like being married

I subscribe to Autocar, has a good mix of cars and features. I also subscribe to Auto Italia which I've been getting for years and years. I don't bother looking at any others.

to be honest i find that much of the info in magazines can be found by looking online and reading forums to gain knowledge. Though if its a magazine with an article on cars im interested in then i will buy it. usually practical clasics.
