I'm due to renew my car insurance next month and have started fishing around only using the comparison websites so far. I had a NON fault accident in the summer im my work vehicle which is on a completely different policy but when i mentioned it in the application they still bumped up the renewal premium by over a 100 quid! My question is do i need to mention this accident even though it was on a business policy with a different insurer? Incidentally the new policy will be needed for an E93 M3 so any recommendations of reasonable insurers are welcomed.

Your supposed to tell them.
I have exactly the same problem. A truck ran into my wife last Feruary, it was one of my policys but no claim was made on my insurance and its still not settled as she was injured.
While just trying to get insurance on a seperate policy I mentioned it and the premium went up £100, when I wasnt driving, My insurance wasnt touched and it was a seperate policy.
