Anybody know about "Distance selling regulations 2000" ?

Does anybody know if "The Distance selling regulations 2000" cover orders from southern Ireland? as i ordered a set of registration plates that arrived today and contrary to the websites guarantees that each plate is 100% checked for everything and top quality, they are crap.

I e-mailed them complaining about various faults and got a reply they were checked and 100% perfect and i should send some pics as evidence. Pre-empting this i returned the e-mail within minutes with the photos but had no reply.

the regulations stem from the EU.

Is Southern Ireland a member? If so they will have implemented it but it will probably be called something else

the DSRs as they are apply to eng wales scot and NI as far as i know

Basically you have 7 days to reject them and unless otherwise agreed the seller has to cover the return postage costs.
