I have to say that this Tuned Honda CR-Z looks fantastic, now if only Honda put a 2.0L Vtec in the car.

Lots of them have already undergone extensive tuning in Japan, talks of Honda producing a 1.6 Turbo type R I believe.

I've always thought they looked cool. Would love it if they threw a real engine in and chopped some weight out. Don't mind it being a sporty looking Prius, but seems like a waste of a car to leave it as one.

I think they're fantastic little cars! I'd like to see a TypeR version unfortunately i could see it getting into the wrong type of hands and giving the car a bad image.

Maybe a limited run.

Are they front or rear drive? Everything I've read says the are FWD, but on the Honda sponsor adverts, which precede Channel 4 adverts, they are on a rolling road with the rear wheels spinning? confused

Maybe the electric motor powers the rear wheels?

That red one is 'road version' of the white racer built for the thunderhill endurance race by HPD so its quite close to Honda in terms of the many tuners displaying CRZs at SEMA this year.

175bhp 1.5L Turbo with the IMA system power electronics changed for Mission Motors battery and inverter for 25bhp boost, Im not sure if its the standard motor though, my guess would be yes.

Looks pretty good and talk is that Honda are working on a 1.6 Turbo in 160bhp and 200bhp flavour. No idea if the IMA would remain but its a good way to take the car to broaden its appeal.

LHT have built a 'K-RZ' yep thats right, it has the K20 engine in. Same guys who did a Gen 1 'K-sight' (Honda Insight with K20)

Its a FWD car. The motor is simply an assisted flywheel (engine side of clutch) so you can view it as a 5th cylinder.
