I've got a big stone chip on the front of my car and bought the usual touch up pen from the dealer. Now in the past I've tried doing it with cocktail stick through to a fine artists brush. One thing I've never been able to get right is the laquer. How on earth do you apply that stuff. It's like bloody treacle.

I've never got a satisfactory result and one chip doesn't really justify a 'chips r us' type bloke. What's the best technique?
