Hi,there, my car speaker system was about worn out, now i wanna find a replacement. I've just looked into this 3-way car speaker.

Am I on the right track? Will I be disappointed? Any other good options?
By the way, what kind of car speaker do u use?

Not too much info on that speaker is there!

I run components in my car through an amp with a 10" sub all from an aftermarket HU - this, in my opinion, is the most cost effective way of getting a decent sound in the car (can cost from a couple of £100 to £1000's depending on the spec though).

Without knowing what you have already it's difficult to say how they will perform as a comparison.

If you're really interested in sound quality, manufacturers ought to produce frequency response graphs for their speakers which give you a pretty good idea of what they're going to sound like.

Ah, didn't realise you were in the states.

As your profile doesn't have your car in it and you don't state whether you have an aftermarket HU or one that you can link an amp up to, or what you are currently running I'm going to take a stab at it.

If you have a manufacturers HU and you are replacing standard OEM speakers that are NOT components you will need to get an amp as the power levels won;t be sufficient (assuming a 45 - 60W output from the HU). If they are components and have blown then those speakers will be fine and most likely perform a bit better, although decent components over here tend to start from £250 upwards.

Any extra info you can give would help.

I have an Alpine head unit and an Alpine V12 Amp and a 12" Kenwood sub, I use the stock Honda components in the front and it sounds pretty decent for most musics although probably could do with being a 10" sub for the majority of the Rock/Metal music I listen too, but sound particularly good with Korn or if I fancy a bit of Pendulum or Prodigy.
