When I worked at a large newspaper there was people traveling 50 miles each way to work which sounded a bit ludacris to me.
How far do you commute?

Just under 20 miles a day, but usually takes at least 20 minutes each way as its the Isle of Wight.

Personally, 14 miles each way. But there are plenty of people I know who travel 100 miles each way, any more than that (and there are a lot of them) travel up on Sunday evening and stay in a B&B over the week. Wouldn't do it myself without a 1000% pay rise.

Quite a few people live in London and travel up to Scotland and stay for a few nights but they enjoy their job and must get paid well I Suppose.

saying that I used to travel 120miles to get to uni from my home in Glasgow but stayed at halls most of the time. I enjoy long distance driving but couldnt do it everyday to get to and from work.

240 miles each way. But then I work from home a lot. Longest commute I ever did was Los Angeles to Sweden every other week for 6 months.

6 miles each way ... any more than that would send me mad. Do more miles at the weekend just for the hell of it!

Used to commute 60 miles each way on the train everyday; now its more like 17 miles, part bicycle, part train.
Car wasn't really feasible for the 60 mile commute, but the new short commute takes roughly the same time car or train+bike, depending on traffic.

At the moment 11 miles each way which I can do by car or train.

My longest was (Hampstead) London to Peterborough and back every day. I can't remember the distance but it always took exactly 1hr 15 to drive.

Or when I was a rep and covered Aberdeen down to York while living in Glasgow.

I've given up even getting out of bed, and just shout "MORE TEA" at the SWMBO.... ;-)

21 miles each way. But it's never at peak times so it's generally an easy drive.

I used to live in city center Birmingham and work in Altrincham. Fun commute up the M6 everyday. I was paid crap as well for it. I now do 25 miles to my office when i work there but I am flexible with the timing so avoid rush hours.
