Has anyone tried these tyres?
They appear to be rated well on tyretest.com.
Some real world experiences would also be appreciated if you have tried them please.
These are for my wifes car and she currently has Bridgestone Duellers but they are a lot more expensive, out of stock at most places and they also don't have such good ratings as the Falkens mentioned above.
I'm thinking about a new pair of the Falkens on the rear (they are winter tyres too but have the same speed rating as the Bridgestones) and move the part worn (still have 6mm) form rear to front, wear those out and then fit another pair of new Falkens in 12 months time and have all 4 the same.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

The Eurowinter ones? I have them fitted to the Honda Civic that we use for hacking around town since Nov. They have been excellent throughout this winter period - handling snow and ice with ease. Even now the weather has improved they are still performing well. To be honest when I drive the car I forget it has winter tyres fitted.
I'm going to use these for quite a bit longer as I've been really lazy in getting the summer alloys refurbished. Treadwear has been excellent.
Big thumbs up from me, but bear in mind this is fitted to a diesel car that is driven fairly carefully as it transports my daughter. Having said that there's been nothing to suggest they would perform badly if pushed.

Lovely, thanks for that.
We don't have a spare set of wheels for her car like I have with mine (I run Winter Avon Ice Tourings when there is snow and ice only). I do this because I want to maintain a good tread on them for when the weather gets bad enough to need them. I can easily store them and swap them over when needed
The HS-439 I propose getting for her car will be for all year round use and it is a diesel family compact SUV so the handling will probably be no different
But as long as they wear well and they grip well in most conditions they should be good replacements for the costly and currently unobtainable bridgestones.

I've had these fitted to my EVO IX since October and I've been very impressed. Excellent ability in snow / ice conditions and still feel good when the temps rise (dry or wet). Wear rate has been good and I have no worries about keeping them on the car until around March time as they feel more than up to the job.
I fitted a set to my Evo. It went from trying to kill me at every bend to safe predictable handling. Excellent tyres.
I have to say though, the most impressed I've been with winter tyres this year has been with the Pirelli winter serie IIs I fitted to our Sportka - they've been utterly amazing things. I have taken our little Ka up hills on the Moors that have defeated many a soft-roader on summers. The grip they find is utterly astonishing and dry handling ok too.

That's great, thanks.Blimey, if they feel alright on your Evo I'm sure they'll be absolutely perfect on her diesel plodder (even with my spirited driving)

Thanks all.
Now ordered the Falkens from mytyres, delivery 3-4 days
I've been very impressed with a set of Falken FK452 and my current set of ZE912 on my own cars so I'm sure the HS-439 will be pretty dependable too.
Cheers
Nice one - I ordered mine from there too back in October for £99 per corner and they came through in no time at all. Just to warn you, the tyres do need a good 300 miles on them before they give up all of their grip. Before then they can slide a bit when pushed, although they are very predictable.
