Basically my car has been parked up and not driven for 5weeks.
Someone stole the front bumper (330 sport) and with being busy with a new job i left it parked up

Now today i decided to start it up and drive it round a little but the car wont move like the handbrake is on. I think the rear left wheel is seized. When i rev hard enough the wheels span slightly but on the rear right i think.

Its parked on a public road and all the disks and calipers a looking quite rusty esp. the left side which is exposed to other cars driving past. Handbrake hasnt been engaged at all for those 5 weeks.

Any ideas please guys i think it just need some lubrication but require some correct advice on what to do. Thanks

Handbrake off, rock the car backwards and forwards. Usually works.

If your lucky, rocking it, driving it a few feet, lightly tapping the calipers with a hammer will free off sticky brakes, next step would be to remove calipers / pads, winding the caliper pistons back into the caliper . . . . . if that doesnt work, its time to fit new/recon calipers and new pads

Be careful when testing them out as a sticky brake caliper WILL if stuck on, heat the disk to the point that it will warp

Yes, that should do it.

And regular application of WD40 to all of your brakes should ensure that the problem doesn't happen again.

Have you tried jacking up the rear left and attempted to turn it?

When it happened recently to me, I poured hot water into the discs as it had got clogged up with brake dust mixed with general road grime which then froze overnight. However - don't go pouring water all over the place when it's due to freeze overnight, especially on the road, you won't make yourself very popular! laugh

not very scientific but a holding a bit of wood to the calliper and hitting it with a hammer might shock it free.

.........not sure about wd40 on brakes myself.
