It seems that Gumpert is preparing to launch a new model.

At least unlike the new Pagani everyone is expecting this to be ugly, hopefully we are in for a shock.

I look forward to this, not because I expect it to be pretty (personally I liked the look of the first one boxedin) but because I expect it to be a rapid, raw, solid drivers car, just like the Apollo.

First 2 years of production sold quite well, but since then has been terrible.

Huge year in year out price increases wont have helped.

If this had been a pagani thread it would be 3+ pages long by now, so i guess that shows the level of public interest to an extent.

Each to their own, but I suspect a poll would show most people believe the Gumpert's taken more of a beating with that stick than the Pagani has wink

Oh, I agree with that - the gumpert is pretty minging.
It's just that out of all the Italian metal, Pagani (to me) is the least asthetically pleasing marque.

I loved the original Gumpert - such a purposeful looking car.

If I was Gumpert, I would offer two versions of the new car, one version would be the full fat hardcore car as expected, the second would be a "luxury" version featuring - driving aids: ABS, TC, ESP. Paddle shift gearbox with full auto option, top quality luxury leather interior, top sound system (B&O), reversing camera etc etc, I think this could sell well to the oil rich folk smile
