Is it normal practice for builders to have a tonne of gravel delivered loose and dumped on the street?
I respect the fact that people need to carry out building work that's not the issue, I just don't understand why they didn't deliver it in a tonne bag or at least dump it in the drive?

Now some of you may think I am just winging because its messy or whatever.

The issue for me is they have dumped it next to a corner on my street, I use my motorbikes everyday to get to work and over the next few days as it gets spread across the corner it will most likely give me some wobbly moments on my POJ!

seems pretty careless to me and I would be extremely upset if I was to come off on it.

I know some will say stop being a girl the roads are covered in rubbish that's not really preventable. This is for the sake of one of those tonne bag sacks.

So my final real question is do I:
a) try make contact with the builders yard
b) contact the council
c) do nothing this is life fool!

Thanks! Hi everyone!

would of posted in SP&L as I think they would have some good answers for this but I have to wait 14 days.

I have had a look on the .gov and I cannot seem to find any info by googling either. What are you allowed to leave on the road there is a skip there but that is fine I presume this is allowed in the highway code or whatever covers this. Anyone find me a link on what can be left on the road?

ta very much

If you tell the courts that the big boys made you do it you'll get nothing more than a slapped wrist.

Take a look out of the window. It's dark. The local pikeys will have had it away by now.
If it's still there you need to be quick to get to B&Q before 8.
Cement isn't expensive.
Buy plaster if it's cheaper.
Hurry up....

Your council should have an online highway fault reporting section on their website.
Report it as dangerous, needimg urgent attention.
