I'm getting some work done to my car and have the option of a courtesy car whilst she's away.

What do I need to do with regards to insurance?

Sorry if it's a noob question. The answer is probably obvious

whoever is providing the courtesy car should sort this for you, failing that, speak to your insurance company...

You need to ask the people who are supplying the courtesy car, as there are several different ways of doing it.

Could be:

their insurance covers it at no charge to you

their insurance covers it but you pay a fee, usually around £10/day

you have to cover it through your own insurance

I've had all three of these with different companies!

Various options as already mentioned.

Some insurance policies cover you to drive a car lent to you by a garage/repairer whilst they have your car, so check what your insurance certificate says.
