That does surprise me, all that time they spent sat at the roadside talking must have saved them loads of petrol money!

Well it's'pre-packed' itself to Acromas, owners of the AA. So it's not disappeared.

Bought by the AA by the looks of things. Wonder if they'll keep it going as a seperate concern or join them together. The market will be flooded with Fiat 500's I guess then.

Presumably Vauxhall must be worried. I believe that BSM were going to go back to using Corsas. But the AA use Ford Focuses (Focii??) and would probably want to have 1 vehicle across the board.

I always thought that the switch to 500s was a blatant attempt to chase the yoof market.

As Messrs Shafi and Kesting paid £10 million for the business in 2009, and have just sold it for a quid, I'd say there was no mileage left in it whatsoever.

There is a company around here that uses MINIs with "Learn to drive in a MINI!" written on the side. So it must impress some people.

Dreadful that, trying to give customers what they want - should be banned.

Not sure why the OP finds it funny that people will be out of work and customers who have paid up front will lose their money. I guess he is just a cock.

I was wondering what was happening, we live on a road that a lot of driving instructors use and we hadn't seen a BSM car in ages, I wonder if the move to 500's overstretched them especially in areas where young people are short of cash and want the cheapest lessons possible.
