Put it in GG as there isn't a 'trailers' section - mods feel free to move it if appropriate.

...have a multi axle 2008 ********** (well known agricultural trailer company) trailer with original fit 185 x 60 x 12 tyres and so far 3 have failed - the braid inside failing and the tyre exploding/ballooning out. The trailer doesn't get a lot of use and three tyres failing with the same fault within a year is not acceptable.
Has anyone else have had a similar issue?
I've edited out the trailer manufacturer so there's no issue with PH name and shame rules.Has anyone else have had a similar issue?
- ********* so far are saying there isn't a problem!
Something's not right there.
I deal in boats and most people leave them in the yard here for months on end, only moving them once or twice a year. I can tell most of them are on their original hard and britle cracked tyres! They should last longer than that!! You got the right weight loading?

My BJT car trailer was supplied with 3-ply tyres, which is fine for light usage, but they pop quite easily and if you're going to be towing big things then you should up them to 6 or 8 ply.
It's also not impossible that they were all damaged by the same pothole, or by debris from the first tyre blowing.

The tyres are from the trailer maker 102/104 loading, inflated to 90psi as per manufactures recommendation, and in good condition - so should last a long time! Yes the trailer can carry heavy loads, but below the plated limit 3.5T - so should last!
During same period I have not had a car tyre fail, and they do more miles!
So just trying to get a sense check to see if anyone else has had failures (I know the manufacture has had a batch recall on another size of tyre).
Ranger 2 now on line!
