Not sure where to post this but I thought I would be safe (or not) in the lounge.....

So, I've been looking for a while and this car seems to tick all the boxes but typically there is one glaring issue that I'm really not sure I could live with.

Could you?

Please note, this is in no way meant to be derogatory to any homosexuals but is purely indicative of the narrow mindedness of my social circle......

Perhaps you could exchange numbers with an MX5?

I know people who are funny about plates where the numbers add up to 13.

You might want to search here and elsewhere about "Big Motoring World". Some people have opinions on them

It was a 525d (with, iirc, "M Sport", paddle box, other stupid crap on car that doesn't need it and only a moron would buy) with the number plate as something like MN05 GEY. Where the last three letters are right, the rest made up.

Mind you as I sit here to insult for the thrid time people who care about how they appear to others in their car it came to my attention that describes 95% of beemer buyers anyway!

I have several points

1) The number plate wouldn't bother me
2) People who would be bothered by it are sad buggers... in fact anyone who cares what the great unwashed think about them for their car doesn't deserve to claim to be a motoring enthusiast imho
3) I can think of no circumstance where a 525d is the right choice, with a free selection of cars

and now

4) you're a nutter

I saw a really nice car that I was thinking about buying the other day..but the plate ended OAP..I have enough piss taking about the grey in my beard from the mugs I call friends and I could just see where it would have gone...silly reason not to buy a perfectly good motor though!!..£150 for a cheap private plate sorts that

Mr Somewatfoolish you are living up to your username......

1. I'm not really bothered by it. I was just chucking up a lighthearted subject matter for everyone (bar you) to have a laugh with.

2. See 1

3. I like the car, so does the wife and it suits our needs. Did I ask your opinion and what the fk does it have to do with you?

4. No I'm not and you are running out of ideas with that one.

Now go away....
