Looking for 10l of 5w30 fully synth to service the Barge. Garage wants to charge me £62 for VW stuff, I seem to remember there was a deal on Magnatec at Asda??
Magnatec is semi-synthetic.Is it fully synthetic VW 504/507 spec you're after? If yes, £62 for 10 litres isn't a bad price.

That's expensive. Go to a Volkswagen TPS and you'll get 10 litres of Longlife 3 for around £45 retail. If you wait until the oil offer is on, £65 will get you 20 litres. Is it fully synthetic VW 504/507 spec you're after? If yes, £62 for 10 litres isn't a bad price.

Opie Oils have all the brand names and good service and I think they have a discount for PH to bring prices to sensible level.
Alternatively, if you have an old barge which just needs something to lubricate it . . . http://stores.ebay.co.uk/LUBETECH-OIL-SUPPLIES

Hard to beat this deal, Costco do the oil for about the same price, but you've still got the hassle of doing the job, and before anyone leaps in, I've used National Tyres a couple of times for oil changes and they've never tried to sell me anything else or done a crap job.
