Parked right outside my flat. I may have seen it around before, but I'm not clued-up enough on my Japanese stuff to know what it is, although it does look a bit tasty.

Your help, please.

Yep, Nissan Stagea. Same engine and drivetrain as a Skyline I think.

Nissan Stagea, think of it as a Skyline Estate. Competition to the Mitsubishi Legnum and Subaru Legacy.

Yep, JDM only. Quite often seen with a GTR front end attached.

Just don't think of it as a GTR. Only got a single turbo 2.5 engine IIRC, rather then the twin turbo 2.6.

...and is as heavy as a pair of race-prepped GTRs

I know, but I bet an RB26DETT would fit in quite easily wink

More worryingly, it looks like Norton Road?

Eta- what's it like to be the one being stalked for a change!

I nearly bought one last year, but didn't have the space to keep it, they feel fantastic to drive very comfy and huge amount of space to lug bits about.

You can pick them up cheap too!!!!

To confirm a few things about Stageas

Most Stageas in the Uk are RB25 single turbo autos with AWD and are about 80kg heavier than a GTR . Quite a bit of this however is the bumpers and exhaust - you really dont want to drive into the back of one smile

But..........RB26 twin turbo engines do drop straight in infact some came out the Autech factory like this with a manual gearbox and these had the full GTR running gear, brakes , suspension and HICAS .

A few pics of mine from Jap performance magazine last November

Has a 2.7 forged tomei engine and runs over 500bhp atw with about 480ft lbs torque at 4500rpm ( revs to nearly 9000 if you have the balls)
