Just 6 inches....
The difference between getting the car of my dreams into the garage....
Or not, as would appear to be the case.
So, no shiny Mercedes Benz R107 and no open top summer wafting for me.

There is only one thing for it...
I am going to have to move house...

Thank goodness I decided to check....after test driving the car and falling in love with it yesterday.

Nope, the problem is the beer fridge, freezer and tumble dryer take up too much room at the back of the garage.
So, its either beer or car. I am not equipped to make such an massive decision.
Big shed in the garden and put all that stuff in it instead? So, its either beer or car. I am not equipped to make such an massive decision.
Now you need a new tv to go in you room, and a Lazyboy chair!

Ah, I kind of had the same problem. So, its either beer or car. I am not equipped to make such an massive decision.
Solution for me was a new £15k kitchen with fitted everything giving me enough freezer space to bin the big chest freezer and move the tumble dryer back into the utility room.
Sorted

The car now just fits in with about 1" of space at the end.

Build some ramps which go almost to the eaves of the far end of the garage from the ground at the front, a winch may be useful. Et voila - due to Pythagoras' theorem the Merc should now fit, and there is room for you appliances underneath.
HTH

Genius! I like that.HTH

I already have a big shed, so that option isn't really open to me. Reckon I might have a more detailed look at the garage tomorrow. I am sure a solution could be arrived at. Bloody pissy small modern garages. Not the sort of car I would want to keep outside (not that there would be space on the drive anyway).
Having said that, if I buy a house with a double garage, then that opens up possibilities in terms of looking at something that could be parked next to the Mercedes.
