Ok Im probably being thick here, However there is a roundabout Near me that has recently had what I can only describe as a shortcut put on it.

Basically they have lowered the curbs either side and put block paving in a straight line from one side of the R/B to the other with gaps that have let the grass grow through them to almost hide the path. However this is only to one side of the R/B.

Will try and get a pic but this is the R/B.
So am I being thick and missing the obvious reason ?
Path runs from where the Chevron boards are on the R/B straight over

Maybe it's some over zealous health and safety derived modification to allow access/parking for the gardener to maintain the roundabout ...

Sorry to spoil the obvious answer, but there`s plenty of room for a very long load to negotiate that roundabout - with rear steer its remarkable how little space is needed.

Anything of decent length would not go "over" the centre, as it would probably ground out, long trailers tend to be very low!!

Back to the horticultural theory?
