Random vehicles with 'Blues and Twos'?
Discussion
What's with all the 'unmarked' random vehicles speeding around with flashing blue lights and sirens on the A12 ( East London ) lately? I don't mean the late Mondeo 'training' vehicles with three people in them, but all makes of vans and cars ( Peugeots and Alfa hatches amongst others ) containing dodgy looking geezers in them carving their way through the traffic. Is this some new scam or has CI5 made a come back?
I always have a good laugh when I see private security firm's cars, things like new 207s, Corsas and Fiesta with battenburg markings and an orange light on top. I wonder what thats for, because they can't use it when they're driving. They might as well not bother with the battenburg markings either, since they won't be cutting through traffic.

Fire Officers ?
They often use their own vehicles with Blues and Twos on.
+1, I've seen a honda CRV and know a Fire Officer who has a Golf estate with blue's and two's fitted under grill and in back lights. They often use their own vehicles with Blues and Twos on.
Also some Emergency Doctors, Mountain Rescue, Cave Rescue etc have blue's and Two's fitted...

My old man used to be a station officer (I think it was this one, he's worked in the fire brigade for 46 years!) and had blues and twos on a few of his cars, didn't help the police when looking at the pic of him running a red light!
Doctors use their own motors too - we service two doctor's cars - one is a v70 t5 and the other is amazingly a citroen xantia v6 - the guy loves it so much he refuses to change it - the older xantia has green lights under the grille and one to stick on the roof, magnetic doctor stickers and a siren - the Volvo is much newer and has blue lights under the grille and a siren
I've seen a Black '10 plate Audi S3 (I know an S3 when I see one) with blues and twos flying down the kingsroad (Chelsea) a few months ago ...... I was informed that it was likely to be a Fire chief on route to am accident ! .........where do I sign !
Similar situation with a White TT-S that flew past me with blues and twos screaming ....... Probably another Fire chief
