What New (used) Car?
Discussion
I'm looking for a new car to replace my 10 year old Clio 172, it's an absolute hoot but it's time to move on.
I've got £15000, I'm not particularly fussed about practicality, so 2 seats would be fine. My only conidtions are that it's quicker than my current car, but still fun to drive. Running costs should be reasonable, but i'm only doing about 6000 miles a year. I'd love something that isn't going to depreciate rapidly too. i'm not fussed by age or mpg!
I'm 25, live in a cheap insurance area.
Z4m coupe? Clio v6 ( running costs are big)? Monaro ( no idea what they are like to run)?
I'm open to ALL suggestions. I'd like something slightly mad whilst i'm still child free!
Thanks.

Just another thought: you'll get a nice Mitsubishi Evo (VI) Tommi Mäkinen at the upper end of your budget, running costs will likely be high, but as you said something slightly mad before getting sensible

I replaced my EP3 Civic Type-R with a 350z.
The z is such a different car to any hot hatch I've driven and I think it has a lot more presence on the road. It's also really good value for money, relatively cheap to maintain (although fuel consumption isn't great - I get about 300-350 miles from a tank which currently costs about £80) and has been very reliable in the 2.5 years I've been running it. And most importantly, it's great fun to drive.

Boxters are something i'd not even thought about. I'd always assumed, maybe incorrectly, that they'd be expensive to maintain.
VX220 Turbos are something i'm mildly curious in, they appear to tick most of the boxes. Does anybody have any experience with them and what they are like day do day?
