Of all of those I would go for the 7 series. Parked behind one tonight and thought it looked good.

Edit- they fail to mention that it needs a petrol cap in that ad

i do like the look of the 7 series but not that one, i know you cant judge until you have seen a car but that one does not send the right messages.

I actually agree with you on that. On looking at the advert again I doubt I'd waste time looking at that one.

McSam and myself have these barge conversations far too often, trying to work out how (at 19 years old) we could afford to insure and run them.

BMW E38 740i and Audi A8 are the favourites.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near £5k for it. But I wouldn't expect to get it for anywhere near a grand either!

Pisses me off when people do that in adverts to ensure that they are included in search filters. BMWs are notorious for this, by listing mileage as 170 instead of 170k to be included in less than 100k searches.

I agree, that one I posted doesn't look brilliant, I got over excited though.. biggrin

Some more of the that shape 7 series that seem better.

All of those look brilliant Jimmy. Either the first one or the one you said looks good would be the ones I look at. The other two don't state a mileage, which a) pisses me off and b) generally means that it is VERY high

Only speaking from hours trawling classifieds looking at ones for sale, never driven them! (Sam may have had a shot in an A8?) E38s seem to be a lot more common if you ask me but I'd imagine the A8 is a nicer car.

Lovely cars the E39 5 series. My dad had a 530D, recently sold it at 149,000 miles. not one rattle from the interior.

The second one does look good there.

Another one here with some nice history
