ST220 Estate - Prices
Discussion
Good Morning,
I previously had an ST220 Saloon which was great and am now looking for an estate up to approx £5500 - £6000 as a second car.
I have looked at BMW, MB, Vauxhall, Volvo etc and the best package seems to be the ST220 (it is the biggest really which is what we need). I have looked on Parkers to see what the prices are like (I know it is only a guide and these things are subjective) but these 2 seem over priced to me - I am sure, apart from me, that there is not a massive market for big petrol engine estates at present? I think they are good value - more reliable than a 4 pot diesel and cheaper initially so the petrol vs diesel economy debate is not valid.

Having bought an ST220 about 6 weeks ago those prices look fair to me, the guides i checked all had quite low values attached to them.. They all seemed to swap hands at higher money. I guess something is worth what someone is prepared to pay.
One thing though if you're serious about buying, check the service history thoroughly! They need servicing (as you probably know having owned one) 1yr or 12k whichever comes first. I think at about 10 cars i looked at only 2 or 3 had correct servicing, plenty with missing stamps etc.
