If you had to choose the ultimate 'full-fat' four seater off-roader would it be a G55 AMG or a JE Engineering 'Zulu' Defender? http://www.jeengineering.co.uk/defender/the-je-qzu...
A Range Rover would be too obvious and doesn't accelerate fast enough.
What is the PH opinion?

Depends what you want it for though.

I quite like the idea of a SVT Raptor or a Cummins converted 2500 Power Wagon.

What's the point in either of them?

Serious question, other than bragging rights, why do you need that sort of power in an offroad vehicle?
I don't really need the 343bhp i have now - the car only has 2 seats and not even i'm so fat that i need all that power just to move me from one place to another.

Tell me about it, take that Veyron for example, its not even got four doors so its not even practical, whats the point.

Okay my sarcastic point isnt quite getting at what your getting at, but if every car/jeep/motorbike was taken with the "whats the point" view, wouldnt we all be driving Prius'seses's

Love the fact that when you open up the flash brochure of the zulu there is a big message saying this publication is carbon neutral!!

For a lot less cash, this

6.1 litre, V8, 0-60 in under 5 secs. £13k. What could go wrong?

What'll it do to the gallon Mister?

Car and Driver think it is, they even scan the written notes from their fairly thorough reviews.
'Test Sheet' bottom right of page under downloads. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09...
