Banger Rally

A few years ago I saw some stuff about banger rallies, ie £200 car, and drive to Morocco or similar.
I recall that some of the members did them also, (rach*?)
What are they called? Are they still happening?

staples 2 Naples is the one I did a few years ago (2007 maybe??). The guy who ran them used to be on here.
