Car resurrection factory idea.
Discussion
I was having a discussion with some friends, about the cars from the past, which have gone out of production, which we wished were still made, but which couldn't be made in most western country's, due to legislation. The conversation was triggered by the "what car would you put back into production" type threads on Pistonheads. It got me thinking about the logistics of setting up a factory somewhere s
tty, where the car building legislation is less harsh. Would car manufacturers be willing to allow licensed production runs, of obsolete models, which would never be allowed under normal circumstances? I'm thinking of stuff like; Ford Sierra and Escort models, like the XR4i, XR4x4, XR3i, RS turbo, Capri 2.8. Maybe some mechanically simple stuff, like Morris minors, but with better components. Would there be enough demand to justify it?
