Ford Fiesta idling at 2000rpm

Guys
The missus's fiesta keeps idling intermittantly at 2000rpm. This can be hot or cold and can last for 10 secs up to a few mins.

I have been told the ilde control valve may need cleaning.

Does anyone know where this is?

Its a ford fiesta 2001 y reg 1.25 16v

Here's where it is on a Ka....any use to help you identify the bit?

Check the breather pipe that runs through the middle of the inlet manifold. very common fault for these to split and draw in more air to the inlet manifold.

Near the front on my old Fiesta IIRC.

It's next to the throttle body, follow the large pipe from the air box.
