Anyone adjusted the seat for a short arse?
Discussion
There's always a way of moving the seat - it's only held on by four bolts. On any conventional steel car it would be about an hour's work to drill some holes and weld on some new captive nuts an inch or so further forwards, which would probably solve the problem. On the Elise I've no idea whether it would be that easy, or a much more involved job.
Conceivably you could have a sturdy steel bracket made up that goes between the floor and the original runners, to shift the mounting of the seat forwards by a couple of inches and up by a bit too.

I'm not sure really, I think a small amount, an inch or so, would be enough and should still be clear of the wheel e.t.c.
That's why I'm asking really, I was kind of hoping someone might have encountered this problem previously.
If you post some pictures of the relevant area, then I'm sure someone with an Elise would be able to give you some idea of whether there will be any fitting issues? That's why I'm asking really, I was kind of hoping someone might have encountered this problem previously.
