Best place to park and train - Cambridge / London

Evening all.

What is the best/quickest way to get in to London with a car, without paying a fortune parking daily?

I will be driving from Cambridge down the M11 and am looking for an easy access/cheap parking in perhaps Zone 3, so I can then commute the rest of the journey in to London ( all day ) ? Any known car parks?

I usually park somewhere near East Finchley tube so at the end of the A1, this may be in zone 4 but is easy enough to find a space within 5 mins walk or so of the station.

Thanks, good shout. Zone 1-4 is cheaper than 1-6.
