Will someone please think of the children!?!

I'd like to start by stating I am not a perfect driver. I'm careful when needs and have been known to be a bit of a pillock in the past (haven't we all). Some thing I will never do is drive like a pillock with little people on board. Common sence I know but apart from my old job as a close protection driver children are the most important thing I will ever transport in my or any car.
There is a great deal of responsability involved when driving children about. Not only making sure they get where you're going safe and sound but I have noticed I don't swear as much, I'm more polite and patient with other road users and I try to set a good example to my passengers.
The little people snug in their Sponge Bob car seats will be driving in less than fifteen years time (unless cars are outlawed by then). So my question to you is.....
Have there been any tips you have passed on to the next generation of drivers whilst in transit?
An example of this is one night I was driving my nephews home from a birthday party, they were sugar'd up and hyperactive. The older one noticed I always dipped my headlights before the driver coming the other way and asked why. I told him it was a competition and the driver who dips their headlights first is (actually paying attention) the better driver. So now they do the "loser" sign as the other drivers go past.

A bit off topic but I was once badly tailgated by a Volvo I had my children in the car, the Volvo eventually overtook and they had a child in the back and a baby on board sign.
My son has noticed me put my hand up to thank other road users and now does the same.

Dad was always flashing the lights to notify other roadusers of hazards, a habit I maintain to this day. 
He had nothing to do with my learning to drive, I think the damage I inflicted to lawnmowers over the was enough to put him off that…
As for the BoB signage, I see them more of a warning signal, to give them a wide berth, as the driver is usually more concerned with what is going on inside the car than outside, so their observation isn't 100%.
