car polish/wax

Can anyone recommend a polish/wax to use. Has anyone heard of stuff called PFTE ?

That's plumbing tape???

Polish & wax are different. Polish takes away a fine layer of paint, wax protects the paint.

Nope. plumbing tape is made with PTFE..so are many non-stick pans. The Millennium Dome in London is also made substantially of PTFE...maybe

Autoglym Super Resin Polish with a layer of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. Relatively cheap, widely available and gives some decent results for not much effort.

I use that Dodo juice stuff. Someone recommended it on here,easy to use and Works well.
Zymol is good, I used to have my cars done in it, but I think its overpriced.

If you want a hard long term wax buy Collinite No. 476S - Super Doublecoat Auto Wax - This will out last almost anything on the market and cost about £16

1) Wash car using two bucket method

2) Polish using Autoglym super resin polish.

3) Apply two coats of Autoglym extra gloss protection.

4) Wash car using two bucket method for the next 2-3 months before needing to be reapply SRP and EGP

Also use the same on alloy wheels. Very easy to remove brake dust etc

The above takes alot of effort (3-4hrs)but makes the next 2-3 months easier.
