Mitsubishi 3000GT Coilovers Help

Just bought some 18" rims for my GT.
When I had the standard rims on the car was lowered with springs by 30mm, since now having 18" on and with the lower profile on the new tyres, the gap between the tyre and wheel arch has increased.
So I was thinking now of getting coilovers allround!
If I get coilovers can I decrease this gap I have with the new wheels?
I am looking at BR coilovers.
Any help would be gratefull.
