I was looking through some old trackday videos earlier and caught this bit at the end of one session.
It's very rare she has anything useful to say in the car.

Indeed. Something about a red light I think?

I thought the layout looked rather Top Gear Test Track, based on that short clip. The distances are wrong, and there's no tyre barrier though.

That one is much better, you would think she would trust him

My girlfriend doesn't criticise my driving but she has started to complain about my speeding which I find rather odd.

2-3 years ago she would have thought nothing of being sat on the back of the ZX7R during summer in jeans and a vest top while I cracked open the throttle, and even would be grinning afterwards, but now 3 years later even if we're in the car the conversation goes something like this on a regular basis:

Her: Tim, the speed limit here is 60 and you're doing 75, can you slow down please.
Me: So? It's not your licence is it? Just be thankful we are going to get there quicker.
Her: I don't care if we get there quicker, you are breaking the law, slow down.

I just don't get it... Neither of us have been caught speeding or had any accidents or near misses or anything.

I think she has been brainwashed by various health and safety courses at work and suchlike, including one on driving. She came home from one H&S course and made me buy a fire extinguisher for the house!

hehe Am I right in thinking that '2-3 years ago' she was a relatively new girlfriend?

She is clearly assessing the suitability of his sperm and responsible dad credentials.

yes Probably moved in now, realises she doesn't have to please you any more, so has also started slowly gaining weight.

Yes... I would say we have been together just over 4 years...

Perhaps I wouldn't be the most responsible dad in the world, but I would hopefully be a fun one... I would be in the garage building a bike-engined kids go kart before I knew if it was a boy or girl...

She's Polish, a size 8 and doesn't appear to gain weight easily.
I'm cautiously counting my blessings. Although that photo of her mother that I asked for has not yet materialised.... Hmmmm
