In a couple of weeks i will have a little spare cash to treat myself to a toy. I have managed to survive with an empty garage for a year now ( just my stinking van for company) and the urge to polish and drive has become to strong to restrain any longer rolleyes . In this present climate of work and fuel prices i still cant help but " have a word with my self" and say stick it out with my stinking van for another year, after all the car will be stuck in a garage for most of the time and only get used 4 or 5 times a month with my lack of spare time but hey ho smile.
My list of cars is short, two infact lol, on old 911 turbo (996) or an rs4. There is one problem i have, i cant get the bmw m3 convertible e46 out my head sleep, i just cant help but think for such little money the bmw is one hell of a car, 10-15k 340bhp 4 seats, roof off , i no its no sports car ( i need 4 seats ) and looking a little dated now but can anyone name a better 4 seater fun car for the money confused .

996 Cab?

Agree M3 is a good car, but lack of roof makes it a bit wobbly.

Did you mean a 4 seat car for £10-15k or one inline with prices on 996 Turbo's?

Sorry guys i ment 4 seater in the m3 price range as opposed to the rather large budget ( for me anyway) i had set for the other 2 cars, i just cant help but think 25-27k stuck in the garage is gonna bug me and for the money a little m3 will cost i cant help but think its all i need for a bit of fun again.

IMO any of those cars could land you some pretty savage running costs. If you've been having to "do without", why not start with something a bit less demanding? Plenty of fun cars out there with less risk of big bills.
