Sorry I know this has probably been done a hundred times but, My company car needs changing by April I have a budget of £300 Pcm ex vat.

Was thinking either :

Scirocco
Mk6 golf
A3
Volvo C30

Anyone have one of the above and which is the best to go for? Currently drive an 07 Golf which has been fine, but i'm fancying a change and leaning towards the Scirocco...

Cheers everyone

+1

I have one and it's a pleasing car to own.

If OP wants a diesel he'll be waiting a while though.

Skoda is ugly and has a poor quality interior, its cheaper than the VW equivalents for a reason.

From that list I'd take the Scirocco, very well equipped car, good to drive, looks stunning. The C30/ A3 are a little long in the tooth and the Golf is a bit boring.

Scirocco 1.4 TSI 120 BHP - £396 on 3+35
Scirocco 2.0 TDI 140 BHP - £450 on 3+35

Octavia 1.4 TSI 120 BHP - £313 on 3+35
Octavia 2.0 TDI 140 BHP - £330 on 3+35

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I'd probably agree Octavia is prettier than Scirocco. Octavia is much more practical car, something the OP would need to decide on.

But I wouldn't say the interior of the Octavia is poor, it's pretty similar to the VW if you choose similar spec level. I'd say the top spec Octavia has more kit and is a nicer place to be than the equivalent priced Golf/Scirocco.

As for the drive, VRS Octavia (in oil or petrol) is a decent steer, OP should judge for himself.

Where are you getting those prices from? Look wrong to me, scirocco has in the past been offered for as little as £200pcm on 2 year leases. As the residuals are watertight it shouldn't be any more expensive to lease than the Octavia.

You're going to massively struggle to get any of those cars, at the low prices being talked about, by April.

What terms are we talking about? 3+35 over 10k a year?

If you want to see some genuine prices check out www.comparecontracthire.com

They're pretty accurate.

As with most VAG stuff at the moment. Crazy.

They might be watertight now, but what about the residuals in 2 years time when the vehicles actually come off contract, you're also forgetting about cost of funds which have typically increased in the CH environment.

Absolutely right. Contract hire prices aren't heading down any time soon. We simply aren't operating in the same (artificially cheap) environment we were two or three years ago.

plenty of options available for that budget..

Presumably you dont want something too cheap, so have a look at these between £200 and £300 per month:
