Anyone ever had their car stereo repaired outside of its warranty?

I'm looking for a repairer in the Berkshire area but not having much luck.

Reason for the repair is I have an associated in dash CD changer which won't work with a replacement unit.

The faulty unit just needs a new face panel but as its several years old I can't get hold of one so thought I'd investigate getting it repaired.

Been trying for ages but with no luck.

Anyway, took the 'hit' and removed the faulty stereo and separate CD player this afternoon and installed a new unit.

Maybe too late now OP, but I can highly recommend Maple Audio in Bath.... they have repaired a number of stereos for me over the years and seem to really know their stuff.
