Lovely motors.
Althought can't speak of the 'R's I have experience of a lesser model.
Just watch out for internal electrics, the one I saw (Father in laws) had quite a few gremlins with the air con, elecy windows and thermostat for the heater.
Cost a fair few pennies to sort, but then he did go to Jag direct rather than an Indy.

My dad had one for a while. Amazing car, damn quick and left pretty much any other car on the road for dead.
Only issues he ever had was a fuel pump which was a cheap fix. And it got a very small oil leak, turned out to be an oil pipe to the supercharger, only about 30cm's long but needed most of the engine taking out to repair so the labour charges were high. Luckily he used our local garage that has an ex jag mechanic working there.
Get one with a good and complete service history and you should be fine.
Enjoy driving it!!

Things to check:-
Headlights are level and cycle down and up on start up. The adjusters are nylon and get brittle with age and break. Easy bodge fix or 600 quid for new headlamp assembly!
Wear on inner edge on front tyres. Alignment can go off but easily fixed.
Lack of heat, to much heat, heat on one side but not the other in the cabin. Coolant valve gives up the ghost and needs replacing.
Split coolant header tank where return hose enters.
And the killer...coolant leak from under the supercharger from valley hose. Supercharger off job and many hours labor.
Yes, I've had them all, but on the plus side these appear to be majority of common faults.
Don't let me put you off though, they are great cars to drive!
