Nissan Navara Insurance... Who's cheap??
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm looking at purchasing a Navara pretty soon to pull the racer with. I'm just looking at getting some insurance quotes and they seem to be coming out at roughly double what I pay for my highly modified supercharged TVR?!
This seems a little odd to me as I have 5 years no claims, no points etc, 25 year old, kept in garage and generally a very insurable position. Is this because the Navara is a pickup and I need to look at a specialist insurer?

Try the NFU.
My pick-up is done through Kerridge and is quite reasonable (work policy).
Oh and don't buy a Navara.
Explain yourself sir!My pick-up is done through Kerridge and is quite reasonable (work policy).

I haven't actually driven a Nav yet but all the reviews I've read seem to put it on top. My GF's dad owns an L200 warrior and I've driven that a few times and it is a nice truck, though I'm just not sure about the looks, and the reviews seem to say that the Nav is the better car.
Thanks for the advice though, I'll take a look at the other insurers...

L200 is What Van Pickup of the year for 2011. I am on my second new shape L200 now. First was a Warrior, I now have the Barbarian.I haven't actually driven a Nav yet but all the reviews I've read seem to put it on top. Neither truck has had any issues at all. Smallest turning circle in its class. Shogun transmission. Good off-road and on (well as good as a pick up can be). Comfortable etc etc.
All round better than the Navara IMHO (although I would say that being a Mitsi man!).
