There goes the idea of buying a VXR8.

Try a Specialist Broker rather than a compromise site. You might be pleasantly surprised.
EFAfor anything other than a mum in a shopping car sod the comparison sites and speak to proper broker who knows what they are on about. Also check with the owners club sites to see what discounts schemes are available.

That's because you use a comparison site my best quote is usually around that on a comparison site but after ringing round brokers I got it down to £500. They are all a load of crap if you ask me.
Its Elephant. Which are consistently the cheaper for me, all the time (along with admiral & bell - same company).I was paying circ £1,800 when I got my R32 at 22.
Was no big deal for me...as I knew it was going to be high owning a car like that. You just got to factor it into the cost of ownership....like servicing costs.
The way I saw it...it was worth it, since I love cars...and spend a lot of time in my car....so it was a luxury worth paying for!
Some people spend their money on holidays, etc....I spend it on cars

So you want to buy a 'high performance' car and are complaining about the insurance cost ?
How old are you, how many points do you have, how many accidents have you had in the last 5 years and where do you live ?
Edit: Just looked at your previous posts and see you are 25....

Know some owners paying less than 1000
Other factors to take into account though

It would cost me £600 to insure my 1.25 fiesta fully comp. It's worth £500 at most, I have 5 years claims free driving and live in a decent postcode area and I'm 30 this year.
£2000 doesn't seem too bad in comparison

I know why it's so high but I'm not telling because no one else who ever bothers to complain about insurance prices does

Have to agree- and if that was a high risk inner city postcode -it would be at least double that-that's if anyone would insure in first placeHow old are you, how many points do you have, how many accidents have you had in the last 5 years and where do you live ?
