Private Plate - ST Themed

I picked up my ST last night and i am chuffed. It's a 55 plate and came with a private plate....

ST55 SST

However, i am looking to sell this as i want another plate and wondered how i would go about doing so.

I have had it priced from a company but looking to sell privatly and maybe wondered what i could look to expect for it.

In all honesty not a lot. If you find someone willing to pay a couple of hundred you will be lucky.

Got priced at £400 from a company.

Would they buy it of you for that price? Or was it a valuation? Put it in the Number plate classifieds on here and see if you can generate some interest.

That's probably a valuation from a dealer who is just wanting to sign you up to add to thier stock list. Its a bit like a valuation of an antique by an expert, the true value of the item is what it goes for at an auction. I hear the same problem exists with classic car insurance valuations with owners thinking that they can sell thier vehicle at this inflated price; when really if they have a look on teh tinternet they'll see cars betters than thiers offered for sale at half the price.
