I was changing the wheels on my wife's car (Audi A4 Avant Quattro S line 3.0 TDI) today. She has 17" wheels with Winter Tyres on, I bought some used genuine Audi 18" wheels to put Summer tyres on. They are the RS6 looking style, which is quite a common wheel that this car comes with, so I assumed (wrongly) that any 18" version of this wheel would be right. Its not. I guess they have the same style, but with different offsets for different models, like A3 for example.

You can see here that the new wheels are pretty close but not quite touching, but they were touching the outer face of the brake calliper.

The offset of the original wheels is 45, and the new ones are 54.

Does this mean I need 9mm Spacers, or very close to it. to get what I need?

I guess I should get longer Bolts to go with them?

Any other options?

10mm hubcentric spacers with 10mm longer bolts.

ETA; Assuming wheel widths are the same.

Stick on 15mm hubcentric spacers with the correct longer bolts. The 15mm spacers are a bit stronger than 10mm and the ET39 offset will still be grand.
