Hastings Direct Insurance - any good?

As above really. My car insurance is due and has increased by some 60% (£360 up to £580). Now given that I'm a middle aged bloke with a rep-mobile & no change of cirumstances, that seems a lot so I've been digging on 'tinternet & they come out best in terms of price on a like-for-like basis (in fact they bring the price back down to £360). However as we all know cheapest isn't always best so has anyone any experience of them?
