This has to be the best thing to happen to JLR in years - the Evoque is absolutely stunning.

Put it next to the equivalently priced X3 and Q5 and there's surely no chance you'd go for the German models.

Can't help thinking Ford messed up selling when they did. Ratan Tata could have potentially got himself a bargain her - very shrewd business.

Would be nice to see some more money chucked at Aston Martin who I fear will struggle over the next few years.

I had no idea this car would be an entry level 4x4. As soon as I saw pictures of it with Victoria Beckham standing next to it, I didn't bother to read any further. I assumed it was another R/R Sport variant.

Anyway, as an alternative to a Freelander/X3/Q5 I think it could be a good car. Lets wait and see.

One of the chaps I work with is a serial LR buyer - was invited by his local dealer to a preview of this. He said it was rather nice, sleek and quite pretty. But his big comment was it is quite small - I suggested a posh Freelander and he said that it was damn close.

He's not in the market for one but he did suggest it was a sure fire hit though. And its not some bling-mobile so maybe the dodgy footballers will stay away?

I always assume that these leaked pictures are exactly the desired effect - to get some free profile.

Cars for testing are usually swirl-wrapped and if it really was not to be seen, I'm sure they have plenty of trailers to get things from A to B in a covert manner.

see above Sunday Service pic and Geneva pic. LRUK are quite happy for the car to be seen these days. All publicity is good publicity and they have been driving disguised cars around the major UK cities for a few months now, just to raise awareness.
