Had my renewal come through a while ago, with my insurer trying on a 40% (£200) increase, and my policy on automatic renewal.
I find another quote elsewhere for a mere £85 increase and cancel the automatic renewal.
In between then and the new policy starting, I get a new job, so ring up my new insurer to inform them of the corrected details.
This gets me an £80 refund.
Result!!
