Quickest/Fastest Car You've Been In?
Discussion
Just thinking of what cars I've been in.. (Or driven for some of you!)
Either my friends Escort Cosworth when I was younger, the power was something else to a 15 year old boy I couldn't believe it was possible.
Or a Mercedes C63 AMG at Merc World SS when we went around the track in it. The acceleration was incredible and the brakes and in corner speed seemed ridiculous.
So what about you lot?

Ariel Atom - Nothing can quite prepare you. It is a motoring 'event' I will never forget, and have, thankfully, repeated since
Fastest?
If you are referring to fastest speed attained then it would be my in Audi RS4 where I managed 77 mph before being required to ease off ahead of a bend.
The fastest I've been in was an 05 Impreza WRX STI PPP, according to the owner it made 301bhp, but then I found out it is and always has been run on 95RON petrol, to keep costs down - morons! So more like 275bhp then?
My Cupra R does not feel that much slower, in fact when it comes on boost, it actually feels like it accelerates even more aggressively that STi did, though at the top end the STi would start to edge away, the difference is probably not that apparent until you were well, well into instant-ban speeds. Been in an Astra VXR booting it, that was bloody quick and very easily overwhelms it's grip.
Had my first passenger ride in a Fiesta ST today, and it was ahem, spirited, shall we say, for only 150bhp or so.

I've been in a few, not driven them though.
Exige S - Felt like a biscuit tin with a supercharger attached. Was being left for dead by the GTR in front though.
Aston V8 Vantage - Taken to 100mph in one of these, didn't feel "quick" though.
Mazda 3MPS - Shocking power delivery, proper pushing-into-seats stuff.
The one that caps it though is an R33 GTR V-spec with some mods being driving by a mate of mine who does rallying in his spare time. Blisteringly quick.
In terms of what I've driven, again a 3MPS (facelift version this time) and a rally LWB ur-quattro at Rally School Ireland.

I'd love a go in one of these on full tilt. And a GTR, I've been on a run before with one infront and the sound and the way it disappeared into the distance was incredible.

I was in the Exige S for a charity event in Hillsborough in NI, they do so every year. In previous years I've been in a Dax Tejiero (with 4.0 litre Rangey engine), Jag XKR Supercharged, Porsche Cayman as well as the Aston and Exige I mentioned. There is a guy with what looks like an original SWB quattro that I hope to get a go in next time around. And a GTR, I've been on a run before with one infront and the sound and the way it disappeared into the distance was incredible.
2 mates of mine got a ride in a Sagaris at the same event. One of them came back white and shaking. Nothing to do with speed, just the angle of entry to most of the bends.
