What a great show.
His car and all the others stunning. I've never seen or heard of the car he bought - was it ever any good? Clearly visually a lovely car and a great noise but was it a good car.
The other thing he bought the car for £600k ( which he said was more than his house - amazing if true as it was a triple detached garage and stunning big house where I live that would easily be into the 7 figs) then spent a further £300k on a full engine rebuild and many new duplicate fabricated parts. Seems an incredible amount of cash and it looked like this was right at the cheapest end of the Market
also noticed he had a Lovely massarati grand sport quattroporte - that is to me the most visually attractive car for decades

Haven't seen much of the show, but his cyclist comments were amusing

"The look of sheer terror as they tottered into the hedge was the best thing I've ever seen in my rear-view mirror. I think this could be the car for me."

Big error really well a £300k error plus entry fees etc. Question though why didn't the engineer run the engine on a test bed or in the car on a rolling road as he knew it was going straight into a race with a cook who has no idea about the mechanicals.
